Dear devs!

I do not know if any of you are familiar with brutefir (http://www.ludd.luth.se/~torger/brutefir.html), but I thought it might be a useful addition to csound. Or I might be completely wrong.

Brutefir was developed by Anders Torger at Luleå University in Sweden some years ago. Basically it is a convolution engine used for filtering (http://www.ludd.luth.se/~torger/brutefir.html#whatis).

As I am not a programmer I cannot implement it myself, but if it is worth the while, maybe someone who is could glance at it?

Best regards,
Anders

It looks interesting, but I see that it is partially written is assembler and is specific to Linux, and would likely be difficult to integrate into a cross-platform tool like Csound.

Also, Csound already has an opcode for partitioned convolution
(pconvolve), so the case for having another is not so strong, especially
if there is great effort involved in making a port.
