Are we ready to set a date for the code freeze, release branch and release date?

It's nice that there are now beta packages for testing on both Windows and OSX. Would it be terrible to let people test these for a few weeks before rolling out an official release? Or would this effectively put the breaks on any new developments?

I should have said that I'm also experiencing some odd memory issues with Cabbage on Windows. I need to rebuild using my old tool chain and see if the problem persists. That's why I would like to continue testing the Windows version for a few week more.

What's going on with the envelope issue?

As of yesterday a large amount of Iain's (and likely many others) instruments are still broken, can we revert to the old behaviour and perhaps revisit it for the following release?

I agree with Rory. We should not break backward compatibility on any
kind of large scale. People who want nice envelopes can just use
transegr which does everything needed.

Mike

I'd say we at least need to print warnings for the cases where the
opcodes misbehave.
