| The crux of the current problem I have with my 5.07 installation deals with
the message:
*** Unknown rtaudio module: 'pa' (or 'PortAudio')
Failed to initialize real time audio output
This occurs prior to enumerating output ports.
To cover all bases, I've got portaudio.dll and portaudio_x86.dll
(duplicates) as well as rtpa.dll in *both* \bin and \plugins directories.
Both CsoundGUI and the command line both give me printouts that remain
on-screen, and up to the point of failure there are no other unexpected
messages. The XP environment variables are as set by the Windows float
installer.
I'd be happy to know what else I might check.
I should also mention that when the three .dll's listed above are present in
the \plugins folder (in addition to \bin) there are warnings that they
cannot be opened. Perhaps relevent also: 1) I've tried disabling .csoundrc,
to no effect; 2) I've tried to run one of my compositions that works in
5.06, with the same result.
I did not have this problem with 5.06 float Windows installer.

installer, but I'll look at it. It's time-consuming because to get it to
work right, I'll probably have to uninstall Python on my computer, which is
a real drag because there are tons of libraries that I have installed into
Python.

both files with the identical contents. This will be fixed in an incremental
version of the installer that I will upload soon.
