[Cs-dev] Using Sourceforge Trackers

Hi All, Just wanted to check if it was alright with everyone if I add a Tracker on the Sourceforge project for the Manual, so that users can submit manual corrections and fixes. It would help me a great deal as I know I have already lost track of a few things, and I think it would be useful for users as they would have a place to submit manual suggestions/corrrections and have can view updates on it. Also, I think it would be nice to start taking advantage of the bug tracking and feature request trackers more, at least, publicizing it more. Things like Art Hunkins realtime reports could then be a live bug request that could have it progress tracked and Art wouldn't have to spend all that time resending a lot of the same information over and over for us to get an update, he could update the bug. It is, as always, something that works when everyone is using it, so it would be something that on the main csound list, if someone asks if something is a bug, we can then say "Yes it is, please report it on the bug tracker on sourceforge". I'd also like to update the http://csound.sf.net page to have a link the main sourceforge project page (http://sf.net/projects/csound), as well as style the page, if no one else minds. Hi John, I tried to modify the index.html last night but the permissions are set to owner writable only. Could you change it to group writable? (I'm assuming I'm in the same group). It doesn't make sense to me that Downloads goes to the project page; I'd like to change that to go to the Files section of the project page as well as add a general Project Page link.k Also, we need to add the sourceforge logo image to the page, as it is a requirement for use of their web service. And don't worry, I tend to use XHTML 1.0 for most of my pages these days and use W3C's validation service to check. ^_^ steven John D. Ramsdell wrote: >steven yi |

Hi John, I've completed the small changes. Wrapped the page in a div and centered the content so that the line lengths aren't too long (easier to read for me). Also added the project page link and a mention of Csound5. Let me know if that works or doesn't for you. Thanks, steven John D. Ramsdell wrote: > steven yi |

Anthony, Would you like to add text to the description of the CsoundMac package on the Csound SourceForge home page? It's currently rather brief. If you don't want to figure out the procedure for modifying the page, just send me text and I'll do it for you. John ramsdell@mitre.org (John D. Ramsdell) writes: > steven yi |

The description for CsoundVST does seem to need a little more. Michael, is there anything you'd like for the description? I'd be happy to update it. >One more point, you may want to expand the text associated with the >CsoundVST package. I actually use Dreamweaver at work and connect to the shell account using SFTP (FTP over SSH), which is easier for me to do as I can now just sync and update with the server. steven ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. Thanks John, I took care of expanding the CsoundMac description a little and added links of each package and to the manual and developer docs at csounds.com. Check it out and change anything that is inappropriate. :) Anthony On 3/9/05 7:47 AM, John D. Ramsdell |

Anthony, Thanks for adding the links to cSounds.com too! On a side note, have you managed to compile your plugins as plugin opcodes for MacCsound. David Akbari has been blowing me away with the pvsdemix stuff!!! And I would love to have my osX obsessed Berklee students work with the ATS stuff too! Would love to see all this as MacCsound plugins - and your code examples would be the perfect tutorial for all of us as they are so well demonstrated and documented. Also, I want them to play with *your* cool opcodes! Hope you can find time to make progress on that front. -Dr. B. on 3/9/05 12:07 PM, Anthony Kozar at anthony.kozar@utoledo.edu wrote: > Thanks John, > > I took care of expanding the CsoundMac description a little and added links > of each package and to the manual and developer docs at csounds.com. > > Check it out and change anything that is inappropriate. :) > > Anthony > > On 3/9/05 7:47 AM, John D.
