Hi,
I think John means that newer versions of libsndfile support ogg (I
haven't actually tried this myself).
There's also the oggplay opcodes which are included in XO builds (used
by TamTam, but discouranged, as they are a temporary hack).

TamTam can save a tune in ogg format (Csound writes a temporary wav file that is converted with gstreamer), but doesn't play ogg, it plays wav file. We never used oggplay!

Olivier (csound programmer of the TamTam team)

I'm keen to hear your suggestions, and would like to know the progress
of your front end, to include information about it in the XO
documentation.
In case you haven't seen it, it's here:

http://www.mentelibre.info/htmlXO

It's still very much in draft stage, but all ideas and suggestions are
very welcome.

Cheers,
Andrés

Maybe Memorize, Simon will know...

When OLPC asked us to save tune in ogg, gstreamer was the only option
to do it on the XO!
