In addition it should be noted that Chromecast works with all smartphones 
and tablets (including Apple products), as well as computers that run the 
Chrome browser.

particularly slide 7, "TV as a DJ", and most especially the link at the 
bottom which describes Google's new ($35) Chromecast Audio device. This 
device casts stereo audio (including high resolution audio) to powered 
speakers instead of TV.
