| In that case, skip this particular test on OS X. It sounds like we can
count on dirent.h being there so the test is not needed. You can define the
macro explicitly in SConstruct (set HAVE_DIRENT_H to true if platform is OS
X).

Subject: scons problem for CS5 .. update
The problem is that requires to be included
first and so there are undefined types in the simple test. I have
arranged a local patch, but I am not sure about the correct fix. It
seems to be that this is a bug in OSX 10.2
