Do you have Java build tools installed? I think this is because scons is
not finding them. If you don't want to build the Java interface, just
select buildJavaWrapper=1.

Firstly this did not happen last week,and i have not changed what is
on this machine.  I have tried buildJavaWrapper=1 and
buildJavaWrapper=0 and I get the same error both times.
I did fix the reference to ommonEnvironment in my attempts to
understand this.  Anyway the bottom line is that I cannot build, and
have not been able to do so for a few days now.
