Yeah, the 10.4 SDK comes with all versions of MacOSX 10.4 whether Intel of PPC Mac. In response to Victor's suggestion of a non-UB version, I would have to agree. I wish I had the funds to buy an IntelMac and try it myself. Compiling for IntelMac from a PPCMac just seems perilous given all of Csound5's dependancies. Having a UB version, though convenient, is IMO not nearly as important as a pure Intel version. In the end, I don't think users would care either way. --- matt ingalls |

Hi Iain, It would be great if you can make binaries for Intel Macs, since the version of MacCsound that runs on them doesn't have MIDI, or am I missing something? Someone's email threading is confused! Hi Matt, Sorry, maybe I'm assuming somethings I haven't tried.... I don't have a Mac right now, but the version I've tried on Intel Macs is the last one to have Csound already included (I think it is 1.2a5). I'm assuming that current OS X packages for current MacCsound do not run on Intel Macs (I understood from this thread that Csound won't, probably MacCsound does, but it will not work with out it). I couldn't find a way to use MIDI on the older version of MacCsound, maybe I didn't try hard enough.... There's nothing on the configuration like there is for audio, and using command line flag -M didn't work, I can't remember the error, though... Should they work? Thanks, Andrés matt ingalls wrote: > first i've heard of it. what version are you talking about? > > On Sep 19, 2006, at 5:51 AM, Andres Cabrera wrote: > > >> Hi Iain, >> >> It would be great if you can make binaries for Intel Macs, since the >> version of MacCsound that runs on them doesn't have MIDI, or am I >> missing something? >> >> >> Cheers, >> Andres >> >> Iain Duncan wrote: >> >>>> Yeah, the 10.4 SDK comes with all versions of MacOSX 10.4 >>>> whether Intel of PPC Mac. >>>> >>>> In response to Victor's suggestion of a non-UB version, I >>>> would have to agree.
