Looking at the code I think that the d type was introduced in ADI's
extended Csound as the other part of the spectral operations.  I was
in Csound as part of the downsamp operations.  It was decided later
that this was proprietary and the opcodes were removed.  I think I
still have the code somewhere...

I guess that the DTYPE stuff appeared as part of the mega-merge of
some of the extended stuff back into Csound (we had long discussions
as to which should be public) and it was not noticed when the opcodes
were removed.  I had totally forgotten about them.

I think that the manual should not mention them, and the code should
not either.  I will make a final check on old code before doing that.

the d-type was only used as output from octdown opcode and as input to
noctdft

I do still have this code, but I suspect that it should be removed!
