Looking at the code I think that the d type was introduced in ADI's extended Csound as the other part of the spectral operations. I was in Csound as part of the downsamp operations. It was decided later that this was proprietary and the opcodes were removed. I think I still have the code somewhere... I guess that the DTYPE stuff appeared as part of the mega-merge of some of the extended stuff back into Csound (we had long discussions as to which should be public) and it was not noticed when the opcodes were removed. I had totally forgotten about them. I think that the manual should not mention them, and the code should not either. I will make a final check on old code before doing that. ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media. ....more the d-type was only used as output from octdown opcode and as input to noctdft I do still have this code, but I suspect that it should be removed! ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
