Hi, I got curious and started making a set of benchmarks for Csound:https://github.com/mantaraya36/csound-benchmarks It's still a work in progress, but here are some results: http://nbviewer.ipython.org/github/mantaraya36/csound-benchmarks/blob/master/ipython/Graphing%20Csound%20Benchmarks.ipynb (This particular test is not completely scientific as I was doing a lot of stuff at the same time...) Apart from benchmarking versions 5 which use scons, I also want to benchmark older 4.X and 3.X when possible. Also, apart from performance benchmarks, I would also like to compare the actual audio output from all the systems. That way we can actually substantiate the backward compatibility claim!
Let me know what you think, if you have any ideas. Cheers, Andrés |

I'm late in replying to this, but I think having metrics like this is fantastic. Thanks Andres for exploring this! On Wed, May 21, 2014 at 7:51 PM, Andres Cabrera |
