	The definition of what is a stripped down package will differ between us. In my view, Csound 5 will be much more exciting if is obviously and definitely more powerful than its competition, namely PD and SuperCollider. These each have VST hosting and fluidsynth, so without it we are lacking. In addition, the scripting facilities (interfaces, wrappers) are a huge plus. Is there no prebuilt FluidSynth for OS X? What your problem with interfaces?
