This sounds like a good solution to me, especially if the default were 
WARNINGS OFF.

Please note that to a non-technical Csound person like me, these messages 
are terribly misleading. Why in the world should I be warned about modules 
that I didn't know *were* plugins, are indeed *not* plugins, are not 
required, and that I'm not using, haven't requested and didn't even know 
about?

Let's save these messages for the few people who use them, understand what 
they mean, and are not put off by them. (I've been confused by them for 
years now.)

I completely agree with Art.  Beginners are ALWAYS scared by warning  
messages.  By default,
these should be OFF.  Or dealt with in a way that does NOT seems so  
fearsome.  Like you have
made a serious and soon to be catastrophic mistake....
