First my apologies if this list shouldn't be used by non Csound developers
(I'm just a user although I sometimes hack the Csound code :-) ) but I came
across the same issue you are reporting here. After doing a recent build of
Csound from CVS and installing it using the install.py script I got the
same problem with the _csnd.so symlink and not being able to import csnd in
Python (got the same init function error). What I did was to copy the real
_csnd.so from inside the build directory to substitute the symlink. Now
importing csnd in python works (no errors) but then the PartikkelExplorer
application by Oeyvind doesn't work (it uses Python) so I'm not sure if I
did the right thing by copying that file.
I'm using OpenSuse Linux 11.0.
