Subject[Cs-dev] Musings
Hi All,

Just some random musings from this morning:

1. I saw that there is a new Grace (Common Music) out. More
interestingly, I saw that there is a release in the Mac AppStore:

https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=829598718&mt=12

I was thinking a self-contained CsoundQT in the app store would be nice. :)

2. I saw that SuperCollider has moved to Github:

http://supercollider.github.io/
https://github.com/supercollider

They also look to be using jekyll for their github.io site:

https://github.com/supercollider/supercollider.github.io

It looks to me they've done a great job of moving from Sourceforge and
it is similar to what I had imagined for Csound on Github.

Thanks!
steven

So are we ready to move?

I think so. I just wanted to get through the UDO typesystem work
first. Let's plan for the migration to happen on Sunday. I will:

* Post an email when I will start the migration to Github
* Do the migration (source code, issues, wiki)
* Post an email when the migration is complete. I will write up
instructions on how to update your git repos to point to Github and
any other info.

I will post the emails to both the user list and the dev list.

To note, post-migration, we should plan to close down the Sourceforge
github repo and trackers. Also we should update the project
description on SF to point users to Github for source and issues.

Thanks!
steven

Sounds good Steven. I think the csound.github.io domain will prove a little elusive for newbies. Would be great if we could points csounds.com to the new front-page on github!
