Subject[Cs-dev] about Loris
Hi,

this is a report about the Loris code in SConstruct which i suspect is not
needed anymore. On the manual page "Building Csound" the scons option
buildLoris=1 is already removed.

I have Loris 1.8 installed with these options: ./configure
"CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include/csound -DUSE_DOUBLE", meant for using the
Loris opcodes with Csound Double Precision on Xubuntu 11.10 64bit.

What i did:
1. git clone git://csound.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/csound/csound5
2. in Sconstruct, removed lines 122-124
3. after that, removed in Sconstruct the lines 2010-2066, a sections that
starts with "# Loris opcodes" and ends with "Depends(lorisPythonModule,
lorisLibrary)"
4. there is no more reference to Loris in Sconstruct
5. did not touch Csound5/Opcodes/Loris
6. csound --opcode-lib=/usr/local/lib/libloris.so -z
7. and lorismorph,lorisplay,lorisread still exist

so i think the Loris code in SConstruct are not needed anymore.
Because this is not my territory, a second opinion would be great,

Menno
