Hi,
I'm running a very simple script (2 mics in inputs + envelope follower + reverb on output) on an HP 2.33Ghz with 2G of RAM. I have a Motu 828mk3 and Csound uses ASIO drivers. To get sound without dropouts, I need to set buffers sizes very high (~1000 for -b and ~2000 for -B), that introduces unnacceptable latency.
Am I on the right way to think that it is possible to use Csound in real time on Windows XP with good sound quality, no dropouts and no latency...? I really need my process to be rock solid!
The same script on my MacBook runs perfectly well with the 828mk3 and very small buffer sizes...
Olivier
