| I am moving my response to this thread to the developers list.
I am indeed tracking this and other build related issues.
The last build that I completed (a couple of weeks ago) fixed all of these issues, as far as I know.
Since, then, however, I have not been able to build -- see my earlier emails of yesterday or so.
It is clear that some people are making changes to SConstruct and/or sources that they are not testing before bookin, perhaps because they either do not test the Windows build, or they do not build csnd and/or CsoundAC when they do test the Windows build.
I understand if it is not possible for people to do these tests. After all I cannot test myself on OS X. But then I am hoping that these people will respond to my emails after taking a look at what happened.
In fact, if something is in an installer or release package on a platform, and a developer is making changes to sources or build systems for that platform, then in my view they have a responsibility to test the whole package, at least as far as building and checking to see if it at least runs.
Otherwise, the effective end result is, "I changed X, but _you_ have to make it work."
I do appreciate the work that has gone into refactoring the SConstruct file. I just hope we can get it all working again soon.
Regards,
Mike
