Yes;swig in some versions has a bug in that it violates C.  The way 
va_args are done on AMD64 is not conpatablewith swig.  Indeed I have 
complained about this on this list,and to teh swig developers.  I alwats 
had to hand-edit the output from swig to get iyt to compile.
   Since updating operating system this went away -- not sure exactly 
what/what but probably the change from Suse10.2->Suse10.3
   If you wat I can did out the necessary changes.

I do remember that I was told to update SWIG, and that made it worse as 
the problem was harder to correct by hand.
