Isn't it possible to go back to the cs5 version where
FLTK worked? The one just before opcodes were given
the ENVIRON* argument. I think the whole trouble
started then. I have here a version that runs FLTK,
audio full-duplex (on MME and WDM) and midi.

That's before the major changes to the opcodes. I wonder
if that was what caused the problem. I can't think of
any other changes at that time. 

John Ramsdell worked on thread-safety issues, but I think
that was after FLTK became broken (on windows at least).

I have made no changes to widgets.cpp in Csound 5.  All my FLTK
thread-safety changes are in Csound 4.

I thought as much. But I am quite sure the FLTK problem
dates from the time opcodes were changed. Maybe some
other changes were also made then.
