I have an android device that is capable of USB OTG (the latest flagship Samsung phone), and have been attempting to use it with generic class-compliant USB devices.
When I plug the sound card in (2 in, 2 out, USB 1.1), csound hangs on start, regardless of soundcard settings. When I attempt to use midi, (with the flag -Ma which as I understand it should not provide any error if no midi device exists), I get an error on startup about not being able to open device -1, whether or not the device is plugged in. It seems like this is something that csound could be able to do. Is this a question of setup or command line options on my end? Is it something that could be enabled on the app that simply is not yet enabled? Perhaps these are new bugs and I should provide more detail about what went wrong? Thanks much for any assistance. |

Csound for Android does not at this time have a USB audio driver. Could you please enter this as a feature request on Csound's issues tracker on github? There already is a request for Android MIDI support, IIRC. Thanks, On Jun 3, 2015 10:44 PM, "Justin Smith" <noisesmith@gmail.com> wrote:

Thanks. I submitted the request as an issue on github, I think someone else will have to add the appropriate feature request tag. On Wed, Jun 3, 2015 at 7:55 PM Michael Gogins <michael.gogins@gmail.com> wrote:
