I builds like a dream. No sound on output with ./csound-+rtaudio=coreaudio example/trapped -o dac but the timing and output are all correct. example/fl.csd just puts up the fltk window and the little wheel/cursor goes round and round. ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM. Does it also hang when run with the -d option to turn off displays, or compiled with noFLTKThreads=1 ? ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM. Do you get any sound with PortAudio? I find it strange that you're not getting any output with coreaudio. Should get sound at least with built-in audio. What's your machine? Well I never! Trapped runs with portaudio without any problems -- only only a suspicion that it is truncating some sounds. think it is a 733MHz G4, grey box with handles. Running 10.2.8, CoreAudio 2.1.2 With fl.csd it seems to run until i first use the widget. This used to run btw ==John ffitch What a waste of the only free day this month ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM. With noFLTKThreads=1 the only difference is that i do not get the entertainment of seeing the turning wheel-cursor. No interaction and no sound as before. ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM. When you run -+rtaudio=coreaudio do you get any coreaudio messages? Can you copy the terminal output for me to see if I can understand what the problem is? Hi, to add this to the previous discussion: I built csound5 (cvs checkout last night) on osx 10.3.8 (powerbook g4)and fltk-1.1.4 and had the same problem with displaying widgets. ( noFLTKThreads set to dafault: 0 ). Means: saw the widget but got the turning wheel cursor. I added the -d option and could listen to a file and had the widget coming up without the wheel. The panel was also updated by showing the spectro analysis of the file (this is a project I'm working on at the moment). It also worked the other way round -> controlling an instrument by a slider. I used coreaudio with the following command: ./csound -odac -d -+rtaudio=coreaudio examples/flpanel.csd Trying to built fltk-1.1.6 failed so far make[1]: *** [fluid] Error 1 even so I was doing ranlib /usr/local/lib/libfltk_jpeg.a etc Have to figure that out:) Simon On 2005-06-15 18:20:28 +0100 jpff@codemist.co.uk wrote: > With noFLTKThreads=1 the only difference is that i do not get the > entertainment of seeing the turning wheel-cursor.
