Greetings,

It looks like I've resolved the problem on one machine. I built and 
installed Csound 5.10.1, with JACK 0.115.6, and the latest AVSsynthesis 
runs without problems on 32-bit JAD 1.0 (OpenSUSE 10.2). I'll rebuild 
and reinstall on the Ubuntu 8.10 system after I've tested the JAD box 
further.
