The installer supports only Apple Python 2.3 (which
comes with OSX10.4) or
MacPython 2.4 (which needs to be installed). There
is no support for 2.5, because
I am packaging for OSX10.4 (I don't have a 10.5
machine).
You can try installing MacPython 2.4

Thank you Victor for your reply! Do you think there will be a 10.5 package in a near future (within the next year)? Because I wouldn't want the Cecilia users to be requiered to build Csound from the sources in order to have the Python API. Thanks! Dominic Thibault On 08-09-22, at 17:05, victor wrote:

I will be upgrading to 10.5 soon and will probably be building Csound for my own use. I can help with making a 10.5 package once I get it working for myself. And, (Victor), I can help with making a combined double/float or Universal framework.
