I noticed a windows build of an” rc4” install on sourceforge. Is this just a trial build of the head on a certain day? Or is it a real RC to be tested by all? If so, what is the corresponding revision level number with git or will there be a pending
matching source zip soon? I’d like to have source that matches the released csound64.dll.
For amusement, I downloaded that “rc4” image while at //build last week and it ran some of the release’s csd files on the beta version of windows 8.1 on the new Surface Pro MS gave us. It actually worked fine in that iffy environment. Bodes well.

From your comment, John, I guess its presence is pretty unofficial and interim.
I wonder what the source and purpose of the rc4 folder under csound6 is, then. It has an Android apk and a seemingly complete windows install exe built on the 27th. csound.h is dated the 27th and other includes imply code pretty close to the head. The
install appears to work pretty well.
