I got an enhancement: "Add output limiter" to CsoundQt issue tracker.

I think it is really good to have some protection  not to blow up loudspeakers 
or ears.

What do you think -  perhaps there could be some kind of possibility in core 
Csound? And if not, what could be the best option to control the output buffer 
via API before it goes to sound card?
