I have not done anything about MIDI channel numbers.

Changes I plan for 5.03 are printing available audio and MIDI devices on every run (or with a new flag), and possibly adding a new flag to route MIDI to pfields, thus removing the need to use the MIDI interop opcodes. The flag would be --route-midi with arguments listing pfield mappings for MIDI channel message data bytes 1 and 2, e.g. --route-midi 5,6cps. The default arguments would be 4,5oct.

I am also working on a tutorial that would be nice to include. A draft with a Windows tutorial would probably be ready for 5.03.

By the way, I noticed that Istvan Varga seems to be working on changing the CSOUND struct to a proper C++ class in his version of Csound, a suggestion I have made several times on this list in the past. This would simplify the Csound code, and _greatly_ simplify the process of adding to or changing the API and the internals of Csound.

Regards,
Mike
