Very preliminary, informal tests seem to show that the MinGW release build of Csound runs 5 to 10 percent faster than the MSVC release build. This is not surprising to me. I will see what I can do to optimize the MSVC build further.

The run to run variation in speed, with the SAME build, is however more than the build vs. build variation in speed.
