Subject[Cs-dev] Multiple Instances and arpeggiator effect? ideas?
Im looking for ideas how to communicate between multiple instances of csound
using csound c++ api.
I can send audio between multiple instances ok but not MIDI.

I wish to create a arpeggiator effect so i need to send out midi from one
instance and receive it on one or more other instances of csound within my
c++ application.

any ideas?
thanks. paul.

Hi,

How about using the software bus? Alternatively, you can make your own
MIDI IO module, which can pass the data to your application. (Maybe
there is a way to set the MIDI callback from the API?)

Cheers,
Andrés

I can confirm that there are midi callback functions in the API. I've
used them before to route MIDI from my own frontends into Csound.
