I haven't tried it, but I would note that many of the manual examples
display a lack of understanding of how the opcode is supposed to work or
what it is useful for.

Do you think it is the example or a bug in the opcode?

It has only ever worked at 22050 sampling rate.  Been on my list of to-fix 
for years
