I have committed some changes that should fix the broken version info in Csound 5. I changed configure.in to pass -DHAVE_CONFIG_H to the compiler, also. I was able to build csound.exe with autoreconf -f -i; ./configure; make. Please let me know if there are more problems, and I'll fix them as quickly as possible. On Cygwin, there appear to be problems building plugins and utilities. Do these problems exist on Linux as well? ============================================ Michael Gogins gogins at pipeline period com Irreducible Productions CsoundVST, an extended version of Csound for programming music and sound Available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/csound/ ============================================ |

Hi Michael and All, >On Cygwin, there appear to be problems building plugins and utilities. Do >these problems exist on Linux as well? > > Last I compiled csound5 on linux the case was that they compiled but they didn't all work, largely causing segfaults. I assume the changes you have been doing to csdl (?) to get the opcode plugins compiled on windows are necessary for the non-working linux ones to work. This was the case a month ago at least. My laptop is pretty much dead at the moment until I get my new harddrive so won't be able to test unfortunately. steven |
