| It unfortunately is a fair amount of work thanks to the gyrations involved
in getting output from stdout, Silence log message functions, and Python
console output all to show up in the same window or the same output file or
stream, and in a reasonably thread-safe way.
I would, however, like to do this for a number of reasons.
