| My thinking is similar to Iain's.
Surely, command-line/CsOptions flags will sometimes need to be changed - but
beginners and performers need *something* to go on - something *likely* to
work.
That's why flags need to be as standardized as possible, and as intuitive as
possible, *and* why default values should work OK, if not optimally, on the
majority of systems.
Otherwise, most of us will revert to a single preferred platform, a single
preferred (and perhaps custom) version of Csound, and write our own pieces
(if we ever get that far) for ourselves, and forget in five years or less
how we did it. (With age, the length of time it requires to forget gets
shorter too.)
