Hi,
Sorry for the delay, The manual files, except for the winhelp chm
version are here. I'll be building this version over the weekend. Maybe
Francois can build it earlier?

Sorry, but I ran into some delays last night getting things ready. I expect
to add the OS 9 files to the release by the end of today. I hope that you
have already made the other files visible anyways.

SubjectRe: [Cs-dev] Files for 5.05 & release notes
I've uploaded the MacOS 9 packages for 5.05. Once again, sorry for the
delay.

I have also put together some possible release notes in case no one else has
done so yet. Are there any corrections or additions to the following?

- Anthony

-----------------

Csound 5.05
Released on March 8, 2007

New features

CsEditor added to canonical source code and some packages.
Virtual keyboard now has MIDI sliders and can be embedded in orchestra
    widget panels.
Added CppSound::getInstrumentNames() method to C++ API.
Voicelead, VoiceleadingNode, Conversions, and Score classes finished in
    CsoundVST.
The new orchestra parser has been merged into the main source code
    branch (still in progress though).
Cscore main program is now in the "frontends" directory. Many examples
have been updated and added to examples/cscore/ as well.

New opcodes

  ptrack
  kampmidid and iampmidid
  date and dates
  system and system_i
  remoteport
  FLvkeybd

Improvements

Cscore manual section has been completely updated for Csound 5.
Syntax highlighting in manual examples, more work on translations, plus
    many other manual enhancements.
Many, many code optimizations for speed and more efficient use of
    memory.

Bug fixes

Fixed crash when using forward slash '/' in pathnames on Windows.
Fixed segfault in FLTK widgets code when using "csound --help" or just
    "csound".
  Fixes to vexpv_i and transeg.
Fixed two problems that made Cscore unusable.
Fixed a problem in parsing marked score sections ("m" statement).
  dam opcode improved.

Also, a modified version of cseditor is now a built-in editor for
csound5gui. Many usability improvements in csound5gui.

Andres,

I am sorry but I just realised csound5gui has problems on OSX. The
trouble is that I don't know the code and don't know how to fix it.
Winsound seems to work OK (as before).
Perhaps we can fix it now for the next release. Sorry for the late
report, but I completely forgot to test it on OSX.

Oh darn. I was really hoping that csound5GUI would be happening for
this release.
Hopefully there can be a 5.051 release rather soon that will include
a working OS X version
of the new (with text editor) csound5GUI.

SubjectRe: [Cs-dev] Files for 5.05 & release notes
Hi,

What seems to be the problem? Does it build OK? Is it the new file browser?

Andrés

I was beginning to wonder about the English manuals. Once they are up, I
will update the front page at csound.sourceforge.net.

Thanks Steven and Andres!

The web site now links to the English manuals (in addition to all of the
other 5.05 files). Still links to the 5.04 Debian and RPM packages since
there are no new ones for 5.05.
