I have created a branch in Csound 5 CVS  named "non-makefile-am". This
contains the code as it is today.

I will very soon commit my changes, including a new Makefile.am, and many
other changes. I hope that other Csound developers will be able to use the
Makefile.am system in the main branch.

Since I had to move and rename some files to get this to work, I created the
branch in case anyone wants or needs to work with the existing Makefile.in
system, which I have not updated.

Michael,

Congratulation on getting the initial version of an automake enabled
system out.  I would like to remind everyone that it took me a number
of tries to get a stable version of these tools for the csound4
module, so don't panic if the initial release has some bugs.  My work
currently is requiring my full attention, but I promise to carefully
look at the automake enabled csound5 module this weekend.
