That sounds OK, but two things:

1. Work on 5.10 can only really start after the full release.
2. Can we have a list beta tester volunteers for each platform?

Happy to oblige on intel OSX.
Am likely to be using latest or latest but one version of other sw,  
especially python,
whilst I'm buried for the next year in current project.
