Subject[Cs-dev] alsa module not found
Greetings,

Testing AVSynthesis + Cs6 with this morning's git pull, got this error :

     error: -+rtmidi='alsa': unknown module

However:

     ls -l /usr/local/lib/csound/plugins-6.0/
     -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 91656 Jun 30 07:47 librtalsa.so

Any suggestions ?

Ubuntu 12.04, GCC 4.6.3.

Best,

dp

Try removing the -+rtmidi=alsa, as that is now the default on Linux.

Thanks, Victor ! FWIW, I also had to remove the -Ma option. To my
surprise, removal of those items also appears to have fixed the problem
with AVS's graphics rendering, and I have no idea why that should happen.

I'm now able to fully test AVS with Cs6.

Best,

It appears to be a problem with the order of the loading of plugins.

apparently the alsa MIDI module is now called "alsaraw". I'll add an alias to "alsa" for backwards compatibility.
That's why -Ma is failing.

This is fixed now. Nothing to do with loading of modules or actually rtaudio. There was a change of name for
the MIDI module from "alsa" to "alsaraw". As the name "alsa" is set as default for MIDI, when using -Ma, you were
not finding it. Fixed in GIT with an "alsa" as an alias to "alsaraw".
