For your information, to make the Windows installers for Csound that are downloadable from SourceForge, I do use your prepackaged binaries, and I check to ensure I use the latest ones. I knew about the Ogg Vorbis support - one reason I use the packaged binaries - but I missed the FLAC support! Regards, Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Erik de Castro Lopo" |

Cool, thanks. > I knew about the Ogg Vorbis support - one reason I use the packaged > binaries - but I missed the FLAC support! Yeah, in libsndfile 1.0.17 I shipped a large chunk of the Flac sources with the libsndfile sources. However, all of the Linux distros discourage this because if there's a security bug in say flac then they have to fix two packages (ie flac and libsndfile). That was the main reason to strip out the flac sources and (at least on Linux/Mac) link to an external libflac. Even moreso when Ogg/Vorbis was added. And if I can find the time, there will be others added as well.
