First attempt at documentation is now in the repository. I hope it compiles OK, but at present I am unable to build manuals due to some malfunction of xsltproc. Treat with caution. I should add that the documentation was written by Simon Schampijer and I was just checking it out and in. ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Thanks John, Looks OK, I've made an additional section for the Remote opcodes, and created the category in quickref.py One question, is the large Basoon soundfont necessary? Can the example be made to work without it? If not, can I trim it down, maybe removing the stereo preset and samples? Cheers, Andrés jpff wrote: > First attempt at documentation is now in the repository. I hope it > compiles OK, but at present I am unable to build manuals due to some > malfunction of xsltproc. The remote opcodes are for transport of events (midi and note) only. From the doc for the midi remote:) "With the midremot and midglobal opcodes you are able to perform instruments on remote machines and control them from a master machine. The remote opcodes are implemented using the master/client model. All the machines involved contain the same orchestra but only the master machine contains the information of the midi score. During the performance the master machine sends the midi events to the clients. The midremot opcode will send events from a source machine to one destination if you want to send events to many destinations (broadcast) use the midglobal opcode instead. These two opcodes can be used in combination." To send audio you can use the udp-opcodes or which works quite well is netjack if you use another layer than opcodes to transport the audio data; hope this answers your question, Simon Oeyvind Brandtsegg wrote: > Could the remote opcodes be used for audio transport between two > simultaneous instances of csound ? > best > Oeyvind > > 2006/12/4, jpff |

We can absolutely thin out the soundfonts in these examples. -dB On Dec 4, 2006, at 9:41 AM, Andres Cabrera wrote: > Thanks John, > Looks OK, I've made an additional section for the Remote opcodes, and > created the category in quickref.py > One question, is the large Basoon soundfont necessary?
