| According to my limited understanding (I'm still learning about Linux
audio), contemporary Linux kernels have incorporated most or all of the
features that used to be patched in for real-time performance. It may be
necessary to configure the user permissions to use the higher process
priorities and more of the real-time limits, but this does not involve
rebuilding anything.
At any rate, I now have built most of Csound 5.04.1 beta including the
Fluidsynth opcodes, the Python opcodes, and CsoundVST. I plan to add the STK
opcodes and then take a look at the Debian packaging situation.
