| It is possible though, to patch other software into Csound
using alsa virtual MIDI devices, so strictly, the sequencer
client thing is not required. How do we use the MIDI through port?

Subject: Re: [Cs-dev] MIDI module for recieving on all MIDI ports
Hi,
I've now merged my changes into the main portmidi module, please test
and let me know how you find it. It will work with a device number as
before, but if you use 'a', it will listen to all MIDI devices.
I've thought about adding the same to alsa, but I think the Midi
through port already does this, so there's no real need.
What would be nice is to make Csound an alsa sequencer client, not a
raw MIDI device. That way it will appear on MIDI patch bays, but I
don't think I'm going to be the one to do it...
Cheers,
Andrés
