Here are some of the relevant messages from the thread where the bug was reported: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Csnd] Csound5 and Jack on Mac From: Joseph Sanger To: csound@lists.bath.ac.uk Date: 2006-04-30 11:43 Hi there, I just posted this on a forum but I thought I'd try the list as well, hope that's OK. I am (rather inexpertly) trying to get Csound 5.01 (downloaded from sourceforge) sending audio to other applications via Jack. I've used the -rtaudio=jack flag and it compiles OK but when I press play I get this: WARNING: rtjack: xrun in real time audio which repeats indefinitely. Jack seems to be working OK as I can send audio from itunes to cubase etc. I'm on OSX10.4.5 on a G4 powerbook, if this helps. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance ----------------------------------- Joseph Sanger joseph.sanger@virgin.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Re: [Csnd] Csound5 and Jack on Mac From: Joseph Sanger To: csound@lists.bath.ac.uk Date: 2006-04-30 19:18 Well, I followed the instructions as best I could from the documentation which came with Jack when I downloaded it a few days ago. The instructions included "Jack-Enabling" the applications, which worked with Cubase and itunes - they appeared in the jack "router" and I'm able to send music from itunes to cubase without any problem. When I compile some code with the -+rtaudio=jack flag enabled, csound also appears in the router, so it looks like everything is running smoothly. In fact, the instrument appears to be working (apart from the repeating warning message) as it is receiving MIDI messages OK and playing notes, but no sound. I'm not a programmer so I could easily have made some simple mistake...
