It would be ideal for lib_csnd.so to be in /usr/local/lib I think, as
it needs to be in LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or whatever the variable is) for
Java to find it.  Otherwise you have to add
"-Djava.library.path=[directory where lib_csnd.so]" is.  (Granted, I
am still having troubles running the lib at all on Linux....).  But
this all might be overcomplicated as the convention for Windows and
OSX are different and I'm not sure if it's possible to get the exact
same user experience of "install cs5, open java editor and start
coding and running", which might make it simple to just put both the
.so and .jar in /usr/local/lib/csound/java and give directions to the
user on how to use them. Gotta run, but will try to get back to thread
tomorrow when back at home.
