Why? Of course, one would expect some level of computer literacy to create 
music with the computer... but from there to understand what a build system 
is and how it works is a whole big step.
I know people that don't know how a build system works after passing through 
Programming 101 (or equivalent). I wouldn't expect the average music student 
to do so either.
