Hi Istvan and all, On 11/8/05, Istvan Varga wrote: > I do not think this issue has much to do with having a release > candidate. Yes, we should definitely start a new thread on what is left for release, and perhaps reupdate the todo document in CVS or maybe better is to add a page to the sourceforge homepage for csound since we all have access to that as well. > > I would interpret the silence in regards to this matter to mean > > "cautious optimism" > > Well, I for one do not really like the idea, as it increases the complexity > of the build system and the directory structure, and the benefits are not > really significant. Well, the changes really are minimal for the SConstruct file and I don't believe increases complexity. If you find the benefits not significant, and others seem to not be so keen on the idea due to familiarity with the source structure as-is, then I'll simply drop the issue and retract my offer to do such work. I am personally used to having projects structured with a src folder with all sources underneath, whether it is my own projects or other open source projects I have come across, but it is not *so* critical for me to have, just think it tidier and more flexible. Anyways, less work for me, and the issue is now dropped on my side.
