Hi Developers, I think I may have run into something fishy with the score parser in the newest released version of Csound5. First off, the build I'm using comes from CVS, using the command to get the release tagged sources: cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous@csound.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/csound checkout -r csound-5_02_0 -P csound5 Localisation of messages is disabled, using default language. ALSA real-time audio and MIDI module for Csound by Istvan Varga PortMIDI real time MIDI plugin for Csound JACK real-time audio module for Csound by Istvan Varga 0dBFS level = 32768.0 Csound version 5.02.0 (float samples) Jun 10 2006 libsndfile-1.0.16 I'm getting this strange error in the score when compiling orchestras, it's as if they don't work when they used to. this error sread: illegal number format, sect 1 line 4: 1712.532+15 zero substituted. from this score [0] line i25 0 [1712.532+15] .98 .8 20000 similarly, this error sread: illegal number format, sect 2 line 4: 10.0+23.75 zero substituted. from this score [1] line i25 0.0000 [(10.0+23.75)] Note that this isn't a critical error but it causes notes to be skipped; it breaks JL Diaz's bay.csd (first error example) as well as removing the allocation for the final sonority of one of my pieces. Some could say this potentially "breaks" backwards compatibility however I can not be so harsh, since this error is solved simply by adding the numbers manually instead of in the score. was there a change in functionality in the parsing of the score to no longer allow the addition/subtractions/mult/ect of floats or ints at compile time ? If so, it would be nice but not critical (can just add the numbers manually lol) to restore the old functionality of being able to use math operators in the score when encapsulated within the [ ] style brackets (and optionally further quantified such as [(2^((quantity1)*(quanitity2)))] If this is user error I would appreciate any tips you guys could offer!
