Now done on Windows 2000. As expected, using a build of _csnd.dll with all uses of 'virtual' removed in csound.hpp, a simple test of compiling and performing a CSD file in Python, as well as trying a few API functions, using the Csound class, seems to work fine. Also tried the Trapped.py example for testing CppSound in Python, and it was OK again. This time, I also tested Java with the Lazzarini CSD player example, and it played CSD files without problems. Of course, this is not directly relevant, as the Csound class will continue to use virtual methods anyway for CsoundVST, but so far the tests appear to show that it is not required in the other classes. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
