Add in option to remove exp code as this causes issue in FreeBSD in the mean time the patch fixes a crash when going to the config window

Looking at your patch t seems to relate to the fltk_gui which is no longer
maintained.  That fits in the "will not fix" category.

But what is the reason for removing the "exp code" (does that mean exp
opcode?)?  It is better to fix the issue when we know what it is.
