Should we wait until the CVS becomes usable again and delay the
5.02 release by a week, or is it an option (if the changes are
not very extensive and multiple people are not editing the same
files) to post the changed files, merge them into a final "release"
tarball, and use that for building binaries to be available on
May 15 as planned ?
