Hi Victor, Thanks very much for the report; I'm very glad to hear that the keyboard is working on OSX and Ubuntu! As for the keys, I don't know if it is possible to do. It might be possible to rig up something where when all FLTK Widget panel windows are made that keys get passed to the keyboard window, but it'd be pretty hairy. Otherwise, I don't think FLTK passes key down events to windows that don't have focus (don't seem to be getting anything when I'm on a different FLTK window).
